UPM-Kymmene will donate half a million euros to five universities in Finland

Finnish television YLE reports that the finish forest company UPM-Kymmene will donate half a million Euro to five colleges in Finland. The donation is directed into the excellence of the various colleges represented. The universities of Oulu and Lappeenranta and Helsinki University, Åbo Akademi University and Swedish Handelsskolan gets 100 000.

Forest Industries (Metsäteollisuus ry) granted earlier this year Aalto University 4 million. - High-quality scientific research establishes the basis for innovation and international success, and both are prerequisites for the forest industry's future innovation and success. We want to support schools in their efforts to develop and train top expertise, "says UPM CEO Jussi Pesonen.
