There is a major growth in orders received and production volume in manufacturing companies for the first quarter 2010 according to Swedish National Institute of Economi Research (konjunkturinstitutet). New orders have increased significantly in this quarter from both domestic and export markets. Growth has been strongest for the forestry, steel, metal products, machinery and motor vehicles industries. The capacity is high in the pulp and paper industry who say they currently use almost full production. Forest and steel industry has also announced increased sales during second quarter. Despite a positive situation the companies are planning for further cuts in the pulp and paper sector.
