Standardized service agreement for forestry industry

The agreement "General Provisions for Forest Contracts, Abse 09" is the first  standard service agreement for the forest industry. It is similar to those commonly occurring in the power industry and construction. The agreement is designed to be used for the various types of contracts that exist within the forestry services industry, including drive, fuel removal, clearing, regeneration, soil preparation and fertilization.

 
 
Leading players from Sweden's forestry industry involved in the project including representatives from Holmen, Korsnäs, Mellanskog, Northern forest owners, Norrskog, SCA, SME Forestry Contractors, Forestry Society and Sveaskog. The project began in 2007 and administered by Forest Research Institute (Skogsforsk) , which is the central research organization for the Swedish forestry. The law firm Mannheimer Swartling has advised representatives of the Swedish forest industry in the development of a standard service agreement for the sector Mannheimer Swartling team that worked on the matter consisted mainly of Ola Ihse and Klas Wennström.
