Scandinavian paper companies plan price rises

German Handelsblatt.com reported that Scandinavian paper companies plan to increase the price of newsprint around 20 percent, according to Bloomberg News. In the article they write that the industry has been suffering for years from overcapacity and the media industry does not understand higher paper prices.

The manufacturers are aiming for a minimum price of 500 € per tonne and they want to get back on the price levels of 2009. The branch received around 430 € per tonne.
