The energy giant Vattenfall and a newly formed company Industrikraft has signed a memorandum of understanding on joint power generation. The goal is to build a new nuclear power plant for the industry says Mats Gustafsson, president of Industrikraft in Sweden AB.
Five companies are also supporting the new company among them pulp and paper companies Holmen, SCA, Stora Enso and Eka Chemicals. Industrikraft is also supported by the mining company Boliden. The Swedish pulp and paper industry is simply dependent on electricity at competitive prices.

In media they have also mentioned bioenergy. The next phase of the collaboration is to investigate and decide on concrete cooperation projects.
