New fine paper statistics from Cepifine

Total deliveries of coated fine paper declined by 1.6 percent in January and amounted to 624 000 tonnes (634 000) compared to the same month in 2009. Deliveries to Europe fell by 1.8 percent, while exports to countries outside Europe were low. Demand in Europe fell by 6.1 per cent year according to statistics from Cepifine (Confederation of European Fine Paper Industries). Among the European forest products companies that have the greatest exposure to the fine paper market are the finish companies M-Real, Stora Enso and UPM-Kymmene.
