More orders and larger market shares are the positive result due to the low exchange rate for the Swedish crown. The Swedish economy slid into recession in the third quarter of 2008 and the crown significantly dropped versus the euro and the dollar. The Swedish marketshare of wood products increased in 2008 from 35 to 50% in the UK.
During the same period export increased in Middle East and North Africa. However the low value of the currency had a negative result of total turnover and 4 sawerys must close down during the same period.
