Rottneros Bruk AB

The group consists of the parent company, Rottneros AB, which is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm, along with its subsidiaries Rottneros Bruk AB and Vallviks Bruk AB in Sweden.

Its head office is located in Upplands Väsby, close to Stockholm, Sweden.

Rottneros, dating back to the 1600s, is an independent and flexible supplier of custom custom, high-quality paper pulp. Through continuous product development, high delivery security, technical support and service adapts Rottneros to demanding customer needs.

The company's extreme niche strategy is actually in conflicting with all business logic. Mass production requires large-scale facilities to be really profitable but Rotteros is  a small player.

In recent years the company struggled for survival and forced on the defensive. Rockhammars use has been sold, Utansjö Mill has been closed and the Spanish pulp mill closed down Miranda. Thus, Rottneros reduced its production from 700 000 tons to only 400 000 tonnes produced by the group's two remaining mills in Vallvik and Rottneros.

Rottneros has a total production capacity of nearly 400 000 tonnes of pulp per year at two factories in Sweden. An increasingly intense product development work in tune with customers' wishful goals will lead to a more stable and higher profitability over the business cycle.

The company was previously a popular item among small investors.

The Norwegian billionaire Thomas Onstad, who owns 20 percent of the shares in Rottneros.
