Bergs Timber

Bergs Timber manufactures and sells sawn and finished wood products with a focus on customized products. Production takes place in three sawmills situated in Mörlunda, Orrefors and Järnforsen as well as in the timber preservation company, AB Bitus. There are planing mills at all of the group’s sawmills for refinement and all plants are located within 90 km. 
 The total saw mill production amounts to approximately 350 000 m3 sawn wood products, more than half of which are finished products.  Bitus preserved about 200 000 m3 timber material during the 2007 calendar year. More than 80% of the products were exported to the UK, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Ireland and the Middle East. By-products are sold to the pulp and particle board industry and also as fuel. 

Timber raw materials are obtained mainly from the area around the Group’s three saw mills in addition to timber from the Group’s forest property.  The Group has its own forestry land amounting to about 2,000 ha. Through Bergs Skog AB, the Group is a complete forest service company which performs everything from consulting forest owners to final cutting. 

The parent company, Bergs Timber AB (publ), has been listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange since 1984. The company is listed on Nordic Small Cap, materials.
